The Colnago Sport has become a favourite with collectors! This restored vintage pearl combines great components in a harmonious design. The frame is made of Columbus Zeta tubing with Gipiemme dropouts and was built by the traditional company Colnago in Italy, the beautiful paint job and decals are super preserved.
The components are as good as new, the bike has hardly been ridden. Unfortunately, it was parked in the wrong place, which caused rust on the chainstay, which attacked the chrome surface in some places. Otherwise the bike is in a top condition.
The beautiful Gipiemme "Sprint" crank is equipped with a panthographed chainring, painted and a highlight on the bike. The bottom bracket is also Giepiemme Sprint and as good as new, i.e. without run-in marks like all bearings.
The wheels are equipped with the always popular MA2 Agent rims and run perfectly with Gipiemme Sprint hubs. The matching Vittoria clincher tires round off the whole package harmoniously.
I have left the handlebars in their original condition and can get a new grip tape after consultation! The bike can also be completely rebuilt, e.g. to a straight handlebar / speedbike with gearshift etc.
The gear ratio is with 52 in front and 18 in the back comfortable to ride; the screw hub is equipped with a freewheel, so no fixgear! This rarity was completely disassembled, cleaned, polished and rebuilt; all bearings were lubricated with "white Teflon grease", adjusted and run "as smooth as butter".
