This restored vintage pearl combines rare components in a 70s retro design. The frame is made of Vitus Series Legere 172 tubing and was built by Gottfried Industries in France. The decals are well preserved, the paint is a little faded but fits the charm of this racer, the unique TA crank is a first class craftsmanship, I have rarely held such a beautiful filigree and light crank in my hand. The crank bolts are very finely crafted. Unfortunately I had to replace the TA bearing and replace it with a new high quality Shimano 600 Ultegra (sealed and durable). The important bottom bearing is new and provides for silence and smooth operation.the color matching Vittoria Rally Competition tubular tires are new and have a Kevlar protection.I left the handlebar in its original condition, but got a new black textile tape.The gear ratio is with 52 in front and 18 behind pleasantly to drive; the screw crown hub is equipped with a freewheel, thus no fixgear! this rarity was completely disassembled, cleaned polished and rebuilt; all bearings were greased with "white Teflon grease", adjusted and run "as smooth as butter". envious looks are pre-programmed ...
